About the University

Isparta University of Applied Sciences is excited about being a new and dynamic university with a 1-year history of establishment in applied education and also being an old university with 43 years of experience.

The university is a Turkish university with a concept that is based on practical training. The university not only aims to be the producing university of Isparta but of Turkey as well and taking firm steps towards becoming such a university. The university-industry cooperation studies continue intensively.

The university aims to create added value to Isparta specifically and Turkey in general. The university tries to educate its students for them not to be job seekers, but to be sought for jobs, to carry out joint business with the industry, and to be intertwined with all sectors, especially industry and agriculture.

There are 4 faculties, 2 colleges, and 17 vocational colleges affiliated to Isparta University of Applied Sciences.

The university strives to make the lessons in education programmes practical. It also strives to transfer the skill areas needed by business life directly to training programs and lessons. In this context, it focuses on field studies, workplace training, and longer-term internships because, in this way, it raises graduates who are both knowledgeable and gain work experience while studying but who are no strangers to the realities of business life. In addition to this academic equipment, the university wants to touch the hearts and souls of students for them to gain traits such as taking care of life with love, being responsible, benefiting the family, country, and the world. The biggest dream of the university is to raise individuals who are “wanted for a job”, not “job seekers”.

With the title of “Turkey’s most liveable city”, Isparta offers high-quality education and life opportunities for the students. Thus, students in Isparta have the opportunity to live together with these riches. The campus of the university is a lively living space day and night with cultural centres, art houses, dining halls, cafeterias, sports units, banks, communication and transportation offices, dormitories, entertainment venues, student square, and festivals. It is possible to play grass field football, basketball, volleyball, handball, Astroturf football, tennis, athletics, horse riding, fitness, step, aerobics, cycling, climbing, and table tennis in sports centres. Apart from the university, there are sports opportunities in areas such as mountaineering, scuba diving, paragliding, orienteering, and cross-country in the nearby centres. Atatürk Sports Hall in East Campus and the Olympic swimming pool are among the region’s and Turkey’s best sports centers with their capacity and equipment.
