The Medical Imaging Techniques Programme at Beykoz University aims to respond to this need by training qualified technicians.
The programme is designed to provide the basic level knowledge and practical application competencies to the students to meet the needs of the enterprises at the relevant level. The curriculum of the programme includes competency courses, core courses, professional area specialty courses and practical training in the workplace.
The graduates of the programme can find employment opportunities in state hospitals, university hospitals, private hospitals and imaging centres with the title of “Health Technician”. They can also work actively in the technical service department of companies that sell medical imaging devices.
The Medical Imaging Techniques Associate Degree Programme Graduates; will be well equipped and competent in the field of medical imaging, and they will be able to apply medical imaging methods and have knowledge of the medical terminology specific to medical imaging.
The graduates will have knowledge of radiological anatomy and human physiology related to the radiological examinations in the field of medical imaging, basic information and working principles about the X-ray systems, basic information about radiation imaging systems and radiation safety procedures.
The graduates will be able to identify the inconsistencies or malfunctions associated with imaging devices. The will know usage and application process of medical imaging methods and they will have an understanding of quality control and maintenance of all vehicles and systems of medical imaging devices in accordance with the rules and techniques.
The graduates will be equipped with knowledge and skills to deal with problems that may occur during the patient preparation process and have the ability to produce solutions using contemporary information technologies.
