Çankırı Karatekin University Faculty of Science Department of Mathematics was established in 2008 and started undergraduate education with primary and secondary education programs since the 2009-2010 academic year, and added Mathematics (English) program to its undergraduate education in 2013-2014 academic year. Currently, there are 3 Professors, 4 Associate Professors, 7 Doctor Instructors, 2 Instructors and 4 Research Assistants in the Department of Mathematics, which is rapidly developing its academic structure.

The four-year undergraduate program of the department is designed to provide students with the basic knowledge required for their graduate education in different fields of mathematics or related disciplines at universities both at home and abroad. In addition, with the elective courses in the program, students are offered the opportunity to support the knowledge infrastructure they may need in their targeted career.

The Department of Mathematics has signed an Erasmus bilateral exchange agreement with different universities in Europe in order to provide its students with the opportunity to receive education at universities abroad and to get to know different cultures during their undergraduate education.
