Besides, business practices that did not base on scientific foundations and were carried out by “trial and error method” in the past, have to be carried out on the basis of scientific data and method in this day and age. And this situation has increased the need for scientific knowledge on subjects concerning administration.

The fields of study that underlie the educational function of Business Administration Department contain whole of the knowledge required in this field. The fields of study of AdministrationOrganization, Human Resources and Behavioral Sciences handle the subjects related to administrating and guiding people in and outside the business; the fields of study of Accounting and Financing handle the subjects related to businesses’ concerns about finding money, using this money, keeping an account of it and making financial statements; the disciplines of the field of study of Numerical Methods – such as Computer, Statistic and Mathematics – handle the subjects related to research, and interpretation and recording of the information; the fields of study of Production Management and Marketing Management handle the subjects related to production and sale of goods/services, relations with customers and conducting market researches.

The aim of Business Administration Department is to graduate administrators who are equipped with these knowledge, attach importance to human relations, are sensitive to current issues and environment, are innovative, and notice opportunities early and respond quickly. In addition, the Erasmus program provides students with the opportunity to know better about the practices and innovations in the field of business administration in other countries and the cultures of these countries.
