Istanbul Okan University Master’s Programs in Architecture with Thesis and Non-Thesis are designed together with the doctoral program of the Department of Architecture in the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture. Master’s Programs in Architecture handle architectural problems from an integrated and environmentally sensitive urban design scale to a single building scale, where different disciplines come together. The theory and implementation for conservation of historical environments and buildings is one of the research areas of our programs. The theoretical background of design culture at different scales and its reflections in our cities are discussed and studies are carried out to understand and analyze. The aim of the program is to handle design technologies and production models with creative, critical and environmentalist thinking approach and to offer modern solutions. The Program with Thesis is open to graduates of the Department of Architecture and close design disciplines. Program content consists of design workshops and theoretical courses. Students graduate with M.Sc – Master’s Degree in Architecture.
