One of our faculties that started education life as a pioneer within the body of Harran University, which was established in 1992, is the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. The Department of Turkish Language and Literature started its educational activities in 1993.
In the department, which has been continuing its education and training activities continuously since 1993, a total of 14 lecturers, including 2 Professors, 4 Assistant Professors, 1 Instructor, 6 Lecturers and 3 research assistants, work.
Students of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature are taught not only theoretical knowledge, but also methods to improve their pre-existing skills and skills.
Our university offers pedagogical formation and postgraduate education to the graduates of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
Graduates of the department can teach in official or private schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, become academicians in universities, become experts in the Ministry of Culture, Turkish Language Institution, archives, and work in various units of TRT.

OUR AIM
The aim of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature is to train its students as experts in their field by bringing them to the level that they can research and examine written and oral works from the past to the present.
