The Department of Turkish Language and Literature is an undergraduate program that aims to offer students an inclusive and multidimensional education with a rich curriculum covering all phases, genres and topics of our literature, from classical literature to modern literature, poetry, novel and Sufism to folk literature. This undergraduate program, which was opened in the 2016-2017 academic year, is a new department within the 117 Turkish Language and Literature Departments available at our universities, but it has set itself as a mission to offer its students a training program that will educate individuals who will compete with students of the Turkish Language and Literature Department of other universities. In addition, adhering to Atatürk’s principles and revolutions, the Republic, objective thinking, the idea of ??criticism and intellectual culture are among the principles of the program.

It is among the basic duties of the department to teach the works, personalities and issues of all periods and every period from the beginning of Turkish literature to the present day, and to learn Turkish language and dialects through literary works, and to learn Turkish language and dialects with various dialects and dialects. Apart from these, the four-year lesson plan created with the vision of showing the historical development of the literature and dialects of the Turkish world aims to ensure that students of the department use Turkish in the best way orally and in writing, and grow up as individuals who know the cultural values ??of the Turkish nation. This program, which aims to provide students with the opportunity to learn Turkish and literature sources and the language of these sources, as well as to learn Arabic and Persian, which are the source languages ??of ancient Turkish culture and literature, aims to train future academicians who closely follow the studies on world literature. .

Graduates of the National Education Organization by completing the pedagogical training education, private and public libraries in the State Archives, Culture and can operate in the Tourism Ministry and TRT can work as a lecturer in higher education institutions, can be an academician in the same field at postgraduate education institutions in Turkey. In addition, they can work in publishing and advertising institutions.
