We Aim to Train Physicians Who Will Contribute to Scientific Developments
In Istinye University Faculty of Medicine, an integrated system is implemented that includes horizontal and vertical related, structured skills training program subjects, and emphasizes the social and social dimensions of the subjects. The language of education is Turkish.
In the first three years, it is aimed that the student will receive the basic health and disease information required before going to the clinic. A large number of optional and mandatory applications are made in order to ensure contact with patients and clinics. The aim is to ensure that the student coexists with the patient in different environments before clinical internships.
Fourth and fifth grades consist of clinical internships and rotations. It includes a total of 6 internships and 28 department rotations.
The internship training period, which will be given in the sixth year of the education program, is a 12-month practice carried out by different departments as compulsory or optional. Meanwhile, students practice practicing medicine. In addition to 4 main branches such as Public Health, Internal Diseases, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Child Health and Diseases and General Surgery, they do Mental Health and Diseases, Emergency Medicine and Elective Internship rotation. Their contribution to practice and skills are evaluated.
