The Interior Architecture Undergraduate Program is built on the main idea to graduate people equipped with necessary knowledge and skills to design and detail creative and livable interiors suitable considering today’s needs for human-space relations and technological developments. Today, the discipline of interior architecture has spread to many different areas which are forming the main fields of interior design. Therefore, Haliç University Interior Architecture Department organizes its undergraduate education in these main fields of development and change. The core of interior architectural education is the design studio. The studio practice aims to create the free perspective required for all kinds of design activities beginning from the first year of the studies. Beyond the design studio, the courses included in the program aim to develop presentation techniques in manual and digital media along with sophisticated structural & detailing & material knowledge. A significant part of our interior architecture program is to ensure students to comprehend digital production tools competently. The lectures are held in studios, lecture halls, model & material workshops. Moreover, the morphological, cultural, historical and cognitive layers of Istanbul are used as physical space.

The Interior Architecture Program is completed in 4 years, and the program accepts students with SAY-2 score type. Candidates who will have a high level of desire to research, open to learning and determined to keep up with the busy schedule are welcomed. While the course contents are heavy, extracurricular activities also have great significance. Workshops, panels, and exhibitions held with different schools support the studio practice which acts as a hub for all design activities.

Graduates who have completed the Department of Interior Architecture will have job opportunities in several fields. Design offices, construction sites, visualization offices, support services and sales of interior design products, exhibition architecture, yacht design, refunctioning projects, are some of the many work areas. There is no compulsory internship in the department, but students are encouraged to apply for internships and participate in workshops and competitions.
