Our department, Harran University Faculty of Arts and Sciences, which was established in 1992, was established as a virtual organization. We graduated from our academic staff preparatory department in 1994, graduate student in 1995-1996 academic year, formal undergraduate student in 2005-2006 academic year, undergraduate student in 2008-2009 academic year and doctoral student in 2015-2016 academic year. In our department, there are 4 Prof., 4 Dr. Lecturer There are 2 Research Assistants, one of whom is a doctoral thesis and one is a doctoral course. Our Department of Human and Economic Geography, Regional Geography, Physical Geography of Turkey and four departments, including active regions. As of the 2018-2019 academic year, there are a total of 633 students, including 300 formal and 250 students, 550 undergraduate, 71 graduate students and 12 doctoral students in our department. Among the doctoral students of our department, 4 of them are under the program of Migration Studies and 5 of them are under the program of Political Geography in the YÖK 100/2000 project. In addition, our department has a Co Information Systems (GIS) Laboratory with 40 users since 2007 and an Alluvial Geomorphology Laboratory working in 2018.
