Aim of the Department
Department of Aviation Management trains qualified personnel who can work in many parts of the aviation sector, such as flight operations, safety management, marketing, and other departments in the aviation sector. Department of Aviation Management contributes to the aviation sector with advanced scientific studies and research as well as training experienced and knowledgeable students with theoretical and practical knowledge in the aviation sector. Department of Aviation Management provides knowledge and skills in fields such as civil aviation, information technologies, airplane and aircraft, general economics, international aviation, logistics, accounting, airline security, passenger services and international transportation.

Target of the Department
The goal of the Aviation Management Department is to train candidates who have the knowledge and skills to meet both current and future needs of sectoral businesses. In this direction, with the degree of Aviation Management, our students will have academic knowledge that will enable them to think critically, intelligently and creatively , to act in the light of science and technology and to play a leading role in aviation’s different disciplines.

Departments Allowing Horizontal Transfer
The department of Aviation Management accepts students with lateral transfer within quotas in accordance with “Regulations Regarding the Transition between Programs at the Higher Education Institutions and Programs under the Bachelor’s Degree Program, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Transfer among the Associate / Undergraduate Programs”.

Departments Allowing Vertical Transfer
All students who want to be enrolled in the Department of Aviation Management by Vertical Transfer are placed by OSYM in case they get adequate score from the Vertical Transfer Examination. Students who fulfill all the requirements are entitled four years of undergraduate education at our university. Also, the associate degree students at Istanbul Gelisim University will have the chance to be enrolled with 50 percent scholarship if they are placed in paid program after DGS.
