Audiology primarily concerns with prevention of hearing and balance disorders, secondarily with diagnosis and rehabilitation once the disorder occurred. The basic goal of Audiology is the earliest identification of hearing and balance loss and appropriate rehabilitative approach in situations where required. Thanks to the knowledge and skills to use the extensive diagnostic tests and interpreting the results of these tests, Audiologists determine hearing and balance disorders, and in rehabilitation process, specify appropriate hearing aid, implement assistive listening devices and cochlear implants, and especially in necessary cases realize the follow-up of infants and children with auditory training approaches.
