Architecture is a profession that has a tradition, as it came into existence along with the civilization of human and thus its principles date back to old times. Utilizing all the opportunities for architecture education should be considered as responsibility of the government and its institutions towards the society.
Department of Architecture that was established in 2009-2010 academic year in Istanbul Arel University, has this sense of responsibility and consciousness. The Department has been enriched and strengthened with establisment of Industrial Design and Interior Architecture Departments. Besides, in due course, it’s aimed to develop programs related to landscape architecture, urban design, industrial design and so forth in order to bring together the disciplines and programs that may be included in the domain of architecture.
