The Department of Architecture education / training program has been designed as an interdisciplinary, creative thinking based education form.
The fact that the Department of Architecture is in the Historic Peninsula of Istanbul provides the privilege of education in a “laboratory space”. Thus, the learning process is provided by doing, seeing, observing, experiencing, and designing. Learning contents are designed to provide city-architecture-art interaction. The Architecture Department believes in the importance of international and national interaction environments like other departments of the Faculty. For this reason, activities such as national and international trips and workshops in formal education become an important part of the educational process. One of the main objectives of the department is to produce projects through cooperation with local and international architecture department.
