Physical activity is important for the prevention of diseases and optimal health across the lifespan.

The main objective of the Physical Education and Sports Programme at Fenerbahçe University is to train physical education and sports teachers equipped with the necessary pedagogical knowledge to prepare them for the competitive environment of the national and international area.

The programme is designed to equip the students with the knowledge and skills necessary for the developing sports industry with a strong foundation of the concepts of Physical Education.

The main disciplines include sports psychology, sports and exercise physiology, sociology of sports, and sports policy and development.

Graduates of this programme can pursue careers in a number of related fields including; physical education, sports science, fitness, health, exercise rehabilitation or coaching.

The Physical Education and Sports Teaching Bachelor Degree Programme Graduates; will be equipped with the principles of teaching and coaching.

The graduates will have contemporary knowledge and an understanding of physical education and sports. They will have knowledge of the human health and the motivation and psychology of sports.

They will gain the competency to assess and guide the physical development of students, provide nutritional guidance and inspiration for healthy exercise.

The graduates will have competencies in creating a safe and positive learning environment and meet the diverse needs of students with varying abilities. They will have the knowledge and ability to empower students to thrive physically and stay active in and out of school.
