Department of Accounting and Finance Management aims to educate professionals and managers who are qualified in accordance with the requirements of our age, who determine the financial needs of organizations in public and private sector and produce alternative solutions to meet those needs.

Our Department provides its students with an education supported by technological facilities, in order to equip them with the knowledge necessary to establish and develop accounting information systems of organizations in our day.

Courses on international accounting standards and marketing are given to students to ensure that they can accommodate to the accounting systems of international institutions and organizations while they practise their professions. Students are educated in issues of accounting profession law and ethics so that their awareness of professional rights and responsibilities is raised. As a result of the increasing importance and development of accounting profession in the whole world, great importance is attached to foreign language education (English) during the whole undergraduate education to train competitive and qualified individuals who can play role in national and international areas. Within the scope of professional English courses, methods of translation, reporting and commercial correspondences are instructed to students so that they can make effective use of English in fields of accounting and management.

Working Areas

The graduates of Accounting Information Systems can generally work in local and international organizations in the areas of accounting, finance, inspection, banking and insurance. Graduates are employed in positions of manager and prospect manager in accounting and finance departments of all enterprises engaged in public or private sector. Graduates can be Independent Accountant or Public Accountant provided that they pass professional competence exam, and after that they can be Certified Public Accountant provided that they meet the necessary conditions. In addition, students can have academic career and be assigned in universities as academicians as they complete postgraduate and doctorate educations after their undergraduate education.
